The Natal Mercury Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home has been a holiday blessing to thousands of homeless children over many years.  They have been putting smiles on the faces of the underprivileged children for so long and Network Configurations feels that it is our time to show them how much we appreciate their worth in our community.  This Holiday Home is in desperate need of renovations and some special TLC.  Their wish list ranges from the simple needs of warmth to the bigger needs of renovations – renovations that will help these little kids have a place where they can enjoy a “real holiday” from their lives.
Network Configurations challenges you our clients, and suppliers to join us where you can give back to a Home that has been everything to our children.  Their “wish list” is wide and with various needs and below is a list of some of the opportunities you and your company can help contribute towards.

1.  The outside of the building itself needs to be painted.
2. The pool and water slide need to be fibre glassed.
3. The pool pumps need to be checked and repaired (even changed), if need be.
4. All the Louver windows throughout the building need to be changed.
5. Specific rooms that need attention includes, the Main Hall, the Boy’s Dormitory and the teachers bathroom in the Boy’s Dormitory

The practical breakdown for all of this is as follows:

1. Tiles (cement, grout and bond) for the walk in cold room
2. Paint for the outside and inside of the building
3. Assistance with the electrics for the kitchen as well as the entire building.
4. Set of catering pots and serving dishes.
5. Urn for Kitchen
6. Extra blankets
7. Brush cutter
8. Microwave
9. Aluminum windows for the entire building
10. Putty and Polly filler
11. Window frame repair and Window Glazing
12. Single duvet inners and covers, bed sheets, pillows and pillow cases and curtains for the Boy’s dormitory, Teachers bathroom, kitchen and Hall.
13. Security gate for the main hall
14. Curtain rails
15. Light fittings
16. Fans
17. Projection system
18. DVD player
19. Bathroom accessories – mats, curtains, towel rails and soap dishes

This may all seem overwhelming, but this is what is needed to make this home a better place for our less fortunate children.  Imagine the happiness here for children that have no where or no one else to go to over the festive seasons while we spend it with our families and loved ones.
