You add up columns on a calculator, then type the answer into Excel. No judgement: lots of people use Excel as a very tidy table.
You’ve just started a new role and “basic Excel skills” was on the job description. Gulp.
You print a spreadsheet and it comes out on seven pages, with one lonely column on the last one.
This course is for you if you’re new to Excel, self-taught with a few gaps, or coming back after a long break, whether you work in admin, reception, sales, operations, HR or anywhere spreadsheets land on your desk.
Know the ribbon, cells, rows and columns, and where Excel hides the button you need.
Write simple formulas and use functions like SUM and AVERAGE, so your totals update themselves.
Insert, delete and resize rows and columns, and find and replace in seconds.
Format text and numbers, apply styles and use simple colour rules that highlight what matters.
Set up pages, headers and footers so your sheet fits neatly on paper or PDF.
Manage worksheets and views, and reuse templates so you never start from scratch.
Six short lessons with lots of hands-on practice. We can tweak the examples to match your team’s real work.
